Learnify applies a commission based on the total lessons conducted for the first month. Details of specific scenarios and rates are provided below for transparency.

Short-term assignments are engagements lasting 11 weeks or fewer. Commission rates for such assignments are tiered based on the total number of lessons:

  • Tier 1: Up to 16 lessons: Maximum 2 lessons commission

  • Tier 2: 17 to 24 lessons: Maximum 3 lessons commission

  • Tier 3: 25 or more lessons: Maximum 4 lessons commission

Lessons should be delivered professionally, following the agreed schedule and format (e.g., in-person or online). Ensure clear communication with the client about any updates or changes.

Tutors are expected to honor the agreed duration and schedule of their assignments. For short-term assignments, the specific commitments will be outlined in the assignment details.

Any changes to lesson schedules must be communicated with both Learnify and the client in advance. Repeated or last-minute cancellations may affect your eligibility for future opportunities.

Yes! Learnify welcomes tutors with varying levels of experience. If you are new to tutoring, we suggest starting with subjects or levels you are comfortable teaching. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are key to building a good reputation with clients.

Fair and Transparent Commission Policy

Learnify is committed to a fair commission system for tutors. Below are common scenarios and how commissions are applied:

Scenario 1: Shorter Lesson Duration (Temporary)

  • Example: If the client reduces the duration of the first lesson only (e.g., 1.5 hours instead of 2 hours), commission is based on the original agreed duration.

Scenario 2: Longer Lesson Duration (Temporary)

  • Example: If the client extends the duration of the first lesson only (e.g., 2 hours instead of 1.5 hours), commission is calculated based on the original agreed duration.

Scenario 3: Reduced Frequency of Lessons (Temporary)

  • Example: If the client reduces the number of lessons for the first week only (e.g., 1 lesson instead of 3 lessons), commission remains based on the original agreed schedule.

Scenario 4: Increased Frequency of Lessons (Temporary)

  • Example: If the client increases the number of lessons for the first week only (e.g., 3 lessons instead of 1 lesson), commission is still calculated based on the original agreed schedule.

Scenario 5: Client Cancels Assignment Early (Before One Month)

  • If the client ends the assignment within the first month, 50% commission is applied to the total lessons conducted.

Scenario 6: Tutor Cancels Assignment

  • If the tutor ends the assignment for reasons deemed invalid (e.g., location too far), they forfeit their share of the fees.

Scenarios for Short-Term Assignments

Scenario 1: Standard Short-Term Assignment

  • Example: For a 10-lesson assignment, commission is capped at 2 lessons (Tier 1).

Scenario 2: Fewer Lessons, Commission Refund (Same Tier)

  • If fewer lessons are completed, commission is recalculated, and excess commission is refunded.

Scenario 3: Fewer Lessons, No Refund (Same Tier)

  • If total lessons still fall within the same tier, no refund is applicable.

Scenario 4: Fewer Lessons, Refund (Different Tier)

  • If the total lessons fall into a lower tier, excess commission is refunded.

Scenario 5: More Lessons, No Extra Commission (Same Tier)

  • If total lessons remain within the same tier, no additional commission is required.

Scenario 6: More Lessons, Additional Commission (Same Tier)

  • Additional commission is applied for extra lessons within the same tier.

Scenario 7: More Lessons, Additional Commission (Higher Tier)

  • Additional commission is applied if the total lessons move to a higher tier.
